AdKiosk -Software Suite for Touchscreen Kiosks-


Sisvia AdKiosk (current version is 1.7.1) constitutes a software suite for your network of touchscreen kiosks. Besides offering services to the kiosk's users, AdKiosk is also designed for exhibiting advertisement banners in the kiosk's screen, consequently providing a way for increasing the profit received from your kiosk deployment, or even sustaining your entire kiosk project. Furthermore, AdKiosk includes plenty of additional options, comprising a high degree of customization capabilities, functions for embedding several user services, a web browser designed for kiosk usage, a configurable onscreen keyboard, a remote controller for the network of kiosks, and many, many more useful features.

Sisvia AdKiosk is a software suite for touchscreen kiosks running Windows 98, NT4, 2000, XP and 2003. It includes applications for the kiosks and for a remote station controlling the network of kiosks. Specifically, AdKiosk is designed for kiosk deployments based on exhibition of advertisement banners, and the involved advertisement module can be easily configured or even disabled. In fact, a lot of AdKiosk features are fully configurable, while keeping the whole system reliable and fast.

As a software suite, Sisvia AdKiosk v1.7 is a label for three specific applications: adkiosk.exe (the program which interacts with kiosk's users), aklocal.exe (program which acts as a controller and proxy for adkiosk.exe), and akremote.exe (remote controller for a network of kiosks)..

AdKiosk provides an Onscreen Keyboard and a Web Browser specifically designed for touchscreen operation. Additionally, you can embed into AdKiosk several (separately implemented) services, notion which is discussed later on. Acting as a container for another services, AdKiosk's functional scope is practically unbounded.

Generally speaking, the main features of AdKiosk are:

  • Sections for displaying advertisement banner clips, and several options for programming exhibition of such clips. Statistics compilation of exhibitions is also available. Now you can even program banners for opening associated web pages when touched by users!

  • Embedded and customizable web browser.

  • Allow definition of several user services for the kiosk.

  • Fully configurable user interface.

  • Possibility of using own screen saver clip.

  • Options for locking/unlocking user services.

  • Customizable touchscreen keyboard.

  • Remote and local control software for the network of kiosks (Demo version does not include these programs).

  • Web browser allows for white and blacklist, as well as page redirections.

  • Use of XML documents for configuration purposes.

  • Fully compatible with AdKiosk v1.5 and v1.6.
